Point-to-point transportation is the simplest way to ride with ART: one pickup, one drop-off and a chauffeur who drives you directly between them. There are no shared stops and no meter running. Send the two addresses, the date and the time, and we confirm the vehicle and the fare before you travel, anywhere across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
Quick answer
Point-to-point transportation is a one-way private ride from one address to another, priced per trip rather than by the hour. ART quotes each ride from the exact addresses, date, pickup time and vehicle, and fares include tolls. Choose it for dinners, meetings, hotel transfers and station runs, and book by the hour instead when the car needs to wait between several stops.

How a point-to-point ride works
Every point-to-point transportation booking follows the same five steps, whether the ride is ten minutes across Brickell or a run up the coast to the Palm Beaches.
01
Send two addresses
Pickup and drop-off, date, time, passengers and bags.
02
Get your fare
We confirm the vehicle class and the price for that trip, tolls included.
03
Confirm
A card on file secures the reservation; until we confirm, a request is an inquiry.
04
Pickup
Your chauffeur arrives at the pickup, with 10 minutes of complimentary waiting at non-airport addresses.
05
Direct drive
No shared stops and luggage handled at both ends; the card is charged after the ride.
A 20% gratuity is added to the fare, so you know the total before the day. If the trip changes on the day, such as an added stop or waiting beyond the allowance, the total can change.
Everyday rides that suit point-to-point transportation
- Home to dinner in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove or Las Olas
- A Miami Beach hotel to a meeting in Brickell
- Fort Lauderdale to a property viewing in Boca Raton
- Sunny Isles Beach to a concert at the Kaseya Center
- West Palm Beach to a family event in Fort Lauderdale
- Your door to a Brightline station for the train
Brightline station rides are door-to-door, to or from the Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach stations. Check train times on the Brightline website and give us your departure so the pickup is planned around it.
One-way car service in Miami
In Miami, one-way rides often run between Brickell, Downtown, Wynwood, Miami Beach and Coral Gables. Short distances can still mean slow traffic on the causeways and I-95, so we plan pickup times around the hour of day rather than the map alone.
Airport and cruise rides are one-way too, but they have their own pages with published starting fares: Miami Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) and PortMiami. For everything else around Miami, the quote comes from your exact addresses.
Point-to-point or by the hour?
Both use the same black vehicles and professional chauffeurs. The difference is whether the car leaves after the drop-off or stays with you.
| Point-to-point | By the hour | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | One trip between two addresses | Several stops, or a car that waits |
| Pricing | Quoted per trip | Hourly rate, 3-hour minimum |
| Waiting | 10 minutes included at non-airport pickups | The car stays with you between stops |
| Extra stops | Requested in advance, priced by distance, time and waiting | Part of the plan for your hours |
Going out and coming back within a few hours? A round trip can be booked as two one-way rides or as hourly chauffeur service, and we will suggest whichever suits the plan. For dinners, viewings and meetings with a definite end, two one-way rides are usually simpler.
Longer one-way rides across Florida
Point-to-point transportation doesn’t have to mean local. One-way rides from South Florida to Naples, Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota or Key West are quoted as long-distance trips, and our long-distance transportation page lists starting rates for the most common routes.
For a long ride, tell us about luggage, any break you would like on the way and whether a child seat is needed, so the vehicle and the timing fit the whole journey.
Waiting, stops and cancellations
- Non-airport pickups include 10 minutes of complimentary waiting
- Airport pickups include 60 minutes after a domestic arrival and 90 after an international one, with flights tracked
- Waiting beyond the allowance is billed per 15 minutes, by vehicle class
- Extra stops should be requested in advance; fees depend on distance, time and waiting
- Changes to time or address: ideally 3 hours or more before pickup
- Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup at no charge
The reservation and cancellation policy has the full terms. Traveling with a group, a stroller or extra bags? Check the fleet and list your passengers and bags in the quote request.

Point-to-Point Transportation questions
Is the fare fixed once you confirm it?
The fare we confirm is built from your addresses, date, pickup time and vehicle class. It includes tolls, and a 20% gratuity is added. If the trip changes, for example an added stop or waiting beyond the allowance, the total can change, and those changes are agreed with you.
How long will the chauffeur wait at my pickup?
Non-airport pickups include 10 minutes of complimentary waiting. Beyond that, waiting is billed per 15 minutes at a rate set by vehicle class. Airport pickups allow longer: an hour after a domestic arrival and an hour and a half after an international one, measured from when the plane actually lands.
Can I add a stop on the way?
Yes, if you request it in advance, such as collecting a friend or dropping off a package. The fee depends on the distance, time and waiting involved. If you expect several stops, booking by the hour is often the better fit for your point-to-point transportation plans.
Which vehicle should I book for a one-way ride?
It depends on your passengers and bags. A Luxury Sedan suits a smaller party with light luggage, while a Luxury SUV or Premium SUV gives more room. Include both counts in your request and we will recommend a class. Specific make and model is subject to availability.
Is a point to point car service cheaper than booking by the hour?
For a single direct trip, usually yes, because you pay for the ride rather than a 3-hour minimum. If you need several stops or the car to wait, hourly can work out better. Tell us your plans and we will suggest the option that fits.
