PortMiami transportation with ART Executive Services is a private car and chauffeur from the airport, your hotel or your home to the curb outside your cruise terminal. The port sits on Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay, right beside downtown Miami, so it is an easy ride from Miami International Airport and from hotels in Brickell, Downtown and Miami Beach. Below are starting fares, terminal tips and how pickups work after your cruise.
Quick answer
The simplest PortMiami transportation is a pre-booked private car to your terminal curb. From Miami International Airport, fares start at $125 in a Luxury Sedan and $150 in a Luxury SUV. From Fort Lauderdale airport they start at $150 and $185. Fares include tolls, a 20% gratuity is added, and pickups after your cruise are planned around your ship’s return.

PortMiami transportation fares
Starting fares for PortMiami transportation from the two main airports are below. They apply in either direction, so the same fares cover the ride from the port back to MIA or FLL after your cruise.
| Route | Luxury Sedan | Luxury SUV | Premium SUV |
|---|---|---|---|
| MIA → PortMiami | from $125 | from $150 | Quote |
| FLL → Miami & PortMiami | from $150 | from $185 | Quote |
One-way starting fares, either direction. Fares include tolls. A 20% gratuity is added to the fare. Child seats are $20 each per transfer. The final fare is confirmed after we review your exact addresses, date, pickup time and availability.
Starting from a hotel or home instead? Rides from Brickell, Downtown, Miami Beach and the rest of South Florida are quoted by address. If you are landing first and staying a night, airport-to-hotel fares are listed on our Miami airport transportation page.
From Miami Airport to PortMiami
MIA is the closest major airport to the port, which makes MIA to PortMiami the most direct way to start a cruise if you are flying in. Give us your flight number and we track the flight, so your chauffeur works to the actual landing time rather than the printed schedule.
Your pickup includes 60 minutes of complimentary waiting after a domestic arrival and 90 minutes after an international one, counted from the actual landing. An airline delay on its own is never treated as your waiting time. Meet and greet arrangements are confirmed with your quote, and your chauffeur loads the cruise luggage before you set off.
Sailing the same day you land?
A cruise ship does not hold its departure for a late flight, so many cruisers fly in a day early. If you do land on sailing day, tell us your check-in window and we plan the transfer around it.
Getting to your terminal on Dodge Island
Dodge Island is reached by the Port Boulevard bridge from downtown Miami and by the PortMiami Tunnel from the MacArthur Causeway. Your chauffeur chooses the approach based on your terminal and the traffic that morning, then stops at the curb outside your terminal so you can unload and hand tagged bags to the porters.
Each terminal has a letter rather than a number, and the cruise line decides which one your ship uses. Assignments can change from one sailing to the next, so check your boarding documents rather than an old list, and include the terminal when you book. Good PortMiami transportation starts with that one detail. The official PortMiami website posts current port information.
Pre-cruise nights in Brickell, Downtown and Miami Beach
Brickell and Downtown hotels sit close to the port, and Miami Beach is just across the causeway, which makes all three sensible bases for a night before sailing. That is why Miami cruise port transportation often comes in pairs: an airport ride on arrival day, then a hotel-to-terminal ride on sailing morning. Book both in one request and we confirm them together.
A pre-cruise night also gives you an evening in the city. If you want a car for dinner or a night out, a chauffeur can stay with you by the hour; our Miami limo service page covers the neighborhoods and options. On sailing morning, checkout often comes before boarding opens, so ask about a lunch stop on the way to the port.
After your cruise: pickups at PortMiami
On disembarkation morning, guests leave the ship in groups, collect their luggage in the terminal and clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection before walking out. Send us your disembarkation time or group if you have one, and message us when you have your bags. Your chauffeur meets you at the agreed pickup point outside your terminal.
PortMiami transportation after the cruise can take you home, to a hotel or straight to the airport, and the MIA and FLL fares above apply on the way back too. Flying out the same day? Give us your flight time and leave a generous margin; we plan the pickup around both the ship and the flight. Waiting follows our Reservation & Cancellation Policy.
PortMiami car service vs parking at the port
Parking at the port can make sense if you live within driving distance, travel light and sail on a short cruise. A PortMiami car service tends to suit travelers who fly in, families with car seats and strollers, and groups who would otherwise need two cars and two parking tickets for the week.
Our guide to PortMiami cruise parking vs a private car walks through the costs line by line, including which garage serves which terminal, so you can decide with real numbers.
Families, groups and child seats
Child seats cost $20 each per transfer; request them in advance. Tell us each child’s age and weight when you book so we bring the right seat; our family transportation page explains the options.
For PortMiami transportation with a group too large for one SUV, we arrange Sprinters, passenger vans and mini coaches so everyone reaches the terminal together, with fit confirmed in your quote. See group transportation. Sailing from Fort Lauderdale instead? Our cruise port transportation overview covers both ports.

PortMiami questions
How much is a car from MIA to PortMiami?
Starting fares from Miami International Airport to PortMiami are $125 in a Luxury Sedan and $150 in a Luxury SUV, with Premium SUVs quoted on request. Fares include tolls, and a 20% gratuity is added. The same starting fares apply from the port back to MIA.
Which PortMiami terminal is mine?
Your cruise line assigns the terminal, and it can change between sailings, so check your boarding documents rather than a general list. PortMiami terminals are identified by letters. Include yours when you book and we drop you at the curb outside it.
Can you take us from PortMiami to Fort Lauderdale airport after the cruise?
Yes. Rides between PortMiami and FLL start at $150 in a Luxury Sedan and $185 in a Luxury SUV, in either direction. Send your disembarkation time and flight time, and we plan the pickup with a sensible margin for the drive north.
What if my flight into Miami is delayed on sailing day?
We track your flight using the flight number you give us, so your chauffeur works to the actual landing time. The waiting allowance is 60 minutes after a domestic landing and 90 after an international one. We cannot hold the ship, though, which is why flying in a day early is the safer plan.
Is PortMiami transportation available for groups?
Yes. Couples and families can ride in a sedan or SUV, and larger parties can travel in a Sprinter, passenger van or mini coach that we arrange. Include your headcount and bags in the quote request and we confirm the vehicle, fit and price.
